new cargo blanket

travelled to lancaster, pa this week for the aqs quilt show.  success!  saw lots of great quilts, and a ton of vendors.  while we were there we also went to the lancaster quilt and textile museum and saw beautiful amish quilts from the 19th and 20th centuries.  they were amazing.

also this week, i'm starting on another cargo blanket quilt.  this one will have a red back and the star chart for april on the front.

and, i sold the pillow shams!

all cut out

finally!  i got all 548 pieces cut out and now it's time to sew them all together.  i'm trying to make the deadline (march 22nd) for the american quilter's society show in knoxville, tennessee.  i've planned it out and it's going to be really tight.  might be a suicide mission.  the thing is, it's kind of a long shot.  the category that i'm entering in is for "quilts featuring stars as the primary design; galaxy of stars"  perfect, right?  anyway, i'm basically trying to find out if the aqs has a sense of humor.  i'm reasonable sure my quilts aren't what they have in mind, but it's worth a shot, right?  it's gonna be a rough month.

this is the upper left section.
